Špela Kallio
Špela grew up on the sunny side of the Alps in a small country of Slovenia. She has always been interested in the human body and exercise. She finished a degree in Physical Therapy in 2017 at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. It was during her Physical Therapy School when she was first introduced to Pilates, and she immediately fell in love with the practice.
Špela received the STOTT Pilates Mat Certification in 2021 and she has recently finished her STOTT Pilates Reformer Course. She is continuing her education through STOTT School of Pilates. She moved to Jackson in 2017 and has been teaching Pilates for the last three years. She loves the outdoors; you can find her rock climbing in the summer and backcountry skiing in the winter.
She likes teaching and practicing Pilates because it helps get our bodies stronger, mainly focusing on the areas of body that do not get enough attention otherwise, with emphasis on core muscles and movement of the spine. She believes that regular Pilates practice helps make our joints happier and helps prevent injuries when doing other activities we all like to do so much in mountain towns like Jackson.
