Overview: Immerse yourself in a serene exploration of Restorative Yoga, designed to cultivate inner peace, spaciousness, and greater mindfulness. Each week, we’ll delve into gentle, meditative practices that nurture both body and mind. Following our yoga session, join us for an hour-long Teahouse Circle, where we’ll gather to reflect on the themes of the class and share our insights.
Week 1: Foundations of Stillness Theme: The Art of Surrender Yoga Focus: Introduction to Restorative Yoga principles; focus on surrendering into poses and dropping into the present moment. Teahouse Circle: Explore the concept of letting go and embracing the present moment. Share experiences of surrender in daily life and discover how it can enhance personal growth.
Week 2: Breath and Space Theme: Creating Inner Space Yoga Focus: Techniques for expanding breath awareness and creating space in the body and in the mind. Teahouse Circle: Discuss the connection between breath and emotional space. Reflect on how breathing deeply and mindfully can create a sense of freedom and clarity in your life.
Week 3: Finding Balance Theme: Harmony Within and Without Yoga Focus: Restorative poses that support balance in the body and mind, helping to harmonize inner and outer experiences. Teahouse Circle: Engage in a conversation about achieving balance in different aspects of life. Share insights on maintaining equilibrium amidst life’s challenges and how balance can be cultivated through mindfulness and restorative practices.
Week 4: Cultivating Compassion Theme: Nurturing Self-Compassion Yoga Focus: Poses and practices focused on cultivating self-love and compassion, using restorative yoga to deepen relaxation and self-awareness. Teahouse Circle: Discuss the role of self-compassion in personal development. Share ways in which you practice kindness towards yourself and how it affects your overall well-being.
Week 5: Integration and Reflection Theme: Wholeness and Renewal Yoga Focus: A holistic session integrating all aspects covered in the series, with a focus on rejuvenating the entire being and preparing for new beginnings. Teahouse Circle: Reflect on the journey of the past weeks, sharing insights, transformations, and future intentions. Celebrate the progress made and set goals for continued personal growth.
