Kate Donovan

Kate’s journey with yoga and outdoor, healthy living began during a 7 week backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevadas in 2008. Living deep in the mountains with nothing to do but hike, practice yoga, and marvel at the earth’s wonders, Kate’s love and need for fitness and nature was solidified, and she’s never looked back. After college, Kate’s and her husband’s careers necessitated living in cities, where Kate continued to practice yoga as a physical and mental release from city life. In 2016, Kate finally fulfilled her dream of moving to Jackson (where she plans to live forever!). She completed her 200 hour teacher training at Inversion and is so excited to continue her yoga journey from student to teacher. Kate’s teaching style encourages fluid movement and energy guided by the breath, while finding a balance between strong effort and calming ease.

Off the mat, you will find Kate flying around the skies above Jackson and Driggs; as a Certified Flight Instructor, Kate guides her students on their path to becoming a pilot. When not in the cockpit, Kate can be found in the mountains on her skis, mountain bike, climbing rope, or floating down a river with her husband and adorable cattle dog, Dumbledore.
